Our commitment
We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That goal shapes how every page is designed and built. It is not a fix we add at the end.
What we've done
- Each page has one main heading, clear landmarks and headings in a logical order.
- Press Tab on any page and a "Skip to content" link appears first. Every button and link shows a visible focus outline.
- Text contrast is at least 4.5:1. Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Informative images have descriptive alternative text, so a screen reader can tell you what a photo of an open paper tray shows. Decorative images are hidden.
- The homepage carousel can be paused. Accordions and the Symptom Finder work with a keyboard alone, no mouse needed.
- Ask your system for reduced motion and animations calm down or stop.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced and linked to their field.
- Layouts reflow from a 320px-wide phone to a large desktop monitor without sideways scrolling.
Known limitations
- Some illustrations hold fine visual detail that a short text alternative can only summarize. The step text always carries the full instructions, so you never need the picture to finish a task.
- The animated diagrams on printer type pages are explained in text. The animation itself is not narrated.
- Optional third-party tools that load after consent are outside our direct control.
